Otto Porter can't make shots in 2k17

I'm using Jordan's sliders (this includes real player percentage) with very, very minor tweaks. I can make shots with everyone else. John Wall shoots a higher 3 point pct than Otto. And none of his shots are contested. I do this because I can't score with him, so I don't even bother shooting the ball unless he's unchallenged. Yet, he still only shoots in the 20s percent-wise. From three, a good game will be him making 1 out of 5 shots. His common line is 0-4 from three, 2-10 FG. Constantly getting more rebounds than points.

Oh, I've also increased his 3 point ability to be in the 90s for everything.

Does anyone know how to get him to make a shot? Is it a setting thing, something magical I need to do with the controller, or a player attribute thing?

You're release or his consistency rating is the most likely culprit. I struggle to hit open 3s with Iman Shumpert even though he has an 83 3pt rating and I strongly believe it's his consistency rating that's causing it.

Sounds like a personal problem. He is absolute money for me. I get a lot of greens with him

You're release or his consistency rating is the most likely culprit.

How can it be his release when he is using RealFG% ?
Am I missing something?

I lowered his shot ratings and upped his consistency and after one game he ended up with 10 points, going 1-3 from three. That's better than normal but need a better sample size.

That's what I was thinking, too. With real %, I don't see a green meter. I was curious about the release, though, as I'm not sure if there is a trick where I have to shoot the ball quickly or something.

For the record, Bradley Beal, John Wall, Tomas Satoranski, Sheldon Mac, Markieff Morris, and Kelly Oubre are all making shots at a reasonable rate. Otto hasn't.

Just to close the loop on this...

Since upping his consistency, he's been shooting like a normal human being. I did lower the ratings I had given him for shooting threes, too. Consider this successful.

Or people could read the rest of the thread and see that there was an attribute issue that has been fixed. That might be asking too much, though.
