Can anyone tell me what they do exactly?

Hot Zones increase your chances of shot success + increased chance for green lights (perfect releases)

Cold Zones is a significant drop in chance of shot success + no chance of green light release

Neutral Zones offer no bonus but also no drop

Have there been any guesses as to % drop/increase?

I personally hate this idea. I don't think hot/cold should be dictated by the bs grind of MyCareer.

I've always considered it a plus 5 rating for hot, minus 5 rating for cold and normal rating for neutral.

I've never seen any documentation that says that but it keeps it simple. The gist is you shoot a little better or worse from certain spots.

I personally like the zones. I always preferred and shot better from certain spots on the floor than others when I played. It makes sense to incorporate that feeling into the game somehow.

It's a +5 ratings boost for hot spots and a -5 for cold spots.

You can confirm that just by looking at your free throw rating that appears in the upper right corner of the screen.

U can green light from cold zones, it's definitely harder but still possible. I can green with Lebron from his cold zone in the corner
