Can't Equip dunk animations on created player

Because Contact dunk packages are not able to be equipped on created players, A created player with 99 Driving and Contact dunk and HOF posterizor will still do silly throwing the ball over the rim animations 6/10 times.

How can I bypass this?


If I can't bypass this can y'all put it on the next patch?

UPDATE: 90% Sure this is preventing posterizer opportunities. Little guys under the rim and I'm doing stupid animations.

Has nothing to do with the package I have all of them on my player and that defiantly doesn't fix anything.

What is your sped at? For some reason 2K values speed more on a dunk that you actual dunk rating. So you get a lot of unfavorable rolls if your speed isn't high enough.

Strength rating should be fairly high too.

Strength is 92 Speed and acceleration is Maxed, Vertical at 95, Hands at 95. This was a drafted player.

It's not like I'm trying to dunk on Athletic Shot blockers, TJ McConnell made me do this a few times. I'm 6'6 and have multiple athletic tomohawks and 2 handers and leaning slams and what not. I get some contact dunk animations, but most of the time he looks foolish.

Created players automatically have the contact dunk packages assigned, you just cant see them. Try it yourself, don't equip any dunk packages on your created player and every now and again you will trigger a contact dunk animation if your ratings are high enough.

Really? Why do I seem to trigger more contact dunks in MyCareer where the attributes are lower with the same difficulty setting?

Also In MyCareer before equipping dunk packages you were able to get contact dunk animations, just not the same ones in the contact dunk packages.

Still super broken. This ridiculous throwing the ball over the rim animation is occurring even with Max strength speed dunk contact dunk etc, HOF Finisher HOF Posterizer, on BAD, smaller defenders, while I have high stamina coming full speed down the court.

Meanwhile in MyCareer my player with lesser ratings is dunking on everyone solely because the animations are equipped.

BUMP THIS THREAD!

This is an issue im dying to understand more about because its affecting my enjoyment of the game. Everything seemed okay last fall before big patches started dropping and i'd see the "thrunk" animation about 65 or 75% less of the time than i do now.

Does anyone have a resonable explanation for this? Or some slider tweaks that can help alleviate the problem.

Id like to echo the OPs sentiments exactly as they have written them. In mycareer this doesnt seem to be an issue, but the CAPs ive made for myleague despite being statisticly better dunkers are anything but.

Actually, as i think back to when posters occured with more frequency, i remember defenders who would attempt to draw a charge outside of the charge circle would get sucked into the charge circle and dunked on. Obviously this proved to be problematic but i would take this over its current state anyday

Exactly it's way more realistic if Steve Nash takes charge and gets slid back and dunked on, than him causing A created dunking beast to throw the ball over the rim out of bounds.
