Badge idea that was probably already mentioned...

Getting a HOF badge shouldnt be as easy as playing on rookie for hours. My suggestion is that rookie takes longer to get the badge..playing on HOF takes less time..everything in between follows accordingly. Thoughts?

There's a thread about this already, but if you're suggesting rookie stays as-is and HOF just speeds it up? Sure, that's fine.

But that still doesn't fix the problem: The grind is unimaginative, it's poorly designed, it's tedious, it's lonnnnnngggg, it's boring, it's repetitive, it's anti-social, it's offline only, the list goes on.

There's a better way to fix the grind:
Make it fun, make it online.

Or how about they'll just give you the badges that corresponds to your archetype and you gotta upgrade those with XP. You earn XP to get auxiliary badges that you can max up to silver and you can only get 5 of those.

If I make a post scorer, give me all the post badges already at bronze or silver and then let me earn 5 other badges.

And get rid of the cheesy Hall of Fame badges and the Grand Badge.

If you can earn XP playing any mode (Online, Play Now, Allstar, Offline, etc.) that would be crazy fun.

I give 2k slack because they're a sports game, but they need to hurry up and emulate other games that have player progression. Imagine if any major FPS game required you to upgrade yourself in an Offline Only mode? That game would get 0/10 from every critic.

Re: Badge idea that was probably already mentioned...

I feel like being able to drop it down to rookie and have the same effect as earning the badge on higher difficulties demands a change.

If 2k doesnt bracket the amount of (action X's = badge) then what i'd absolutely want most is for them to be either only upgradeable by repetition and not VCs (not gonna happen)

Or...

Something that would start a world war... make offline badges separate from park badges, separate from Pro-Am badges. Thats the ultimate way to earn a badge and likewise feel a strong sense of accomplishment.

If you are still reading and havent sent a death wish over me....

I think you should only get 5-6 badges total. Maybe choose 3-4 of the Archetype based badges and choose 2 more as unlockable and also upgradeable.

I can explain. I have a 7'2" Paint Protector for pro-am, I cannot recall Mutumbo or any Rim Protector taking a ton of charges. I'd rather turn in charge card and chasedown artist (Only time a Center will chase someone down is if hes riding in a cop car) for pickpocket or hustle rebounder which usually comes hand and hand with a real life paint protector.

This would also make the corner 3 being drained by GC, PP and LDD with no 3pt shot attribute bars much less likely and the game more sim.

i know it would never happen though
