Re: Timing Lay Ups/Hook Shots in NBA 2K18??

Layups should definitely stay timed, but the perfect release point should occur at the moment the ball leaves the shooter's hand, not the way it is currently where you have to let go of the shot button as soon as the shooter's feet leave the floor.

Hook shots should also remain timed, but 2K needs to go in and fix all of the hook shot animations that have broken timing windows. With many of the hook forms in 2K17, it's only possible to get a pump fake or a late release, never an early release or a perfect release. There are only four or five hook shot animations in the game that have the full range of functionality and can potentially become early, perfect, or late releases based on the user's input.

Agree.

It's too confusing... you have no way of knowing what random animation you're gonna get, so it makes it hard to time.

Layups are supposed to be easy, but in 2k they are pretty complicated.
