What is ACE and do u turn on or off?

Does this ace thing affect how u play defense only? i cant find any proper explanation on what it does? U guys turn it on or off??? Thx!

Under coaching settings. It's called the "Adaptive Coaching Engine". It's all the way at the top of the list

Until recently i started turning it off but i doubt it's really off when i set it off, that's what i would like to know.
