Is "pass perception" an offensive or defensive attribute?

Does it affect a player's ability to pick off a pass on defense? Or does it affect a player's ability to receive/read passes on offense?

    Pick off passes on defense.

That's why it's under the defensive category in the attributes section lol but it's just the attribute that corresponds mostly with the "pass interception" tendency

It's not in the defensive category of the attributes section actually. It's in the mental section.
If it were in the defensive section then i wouldn't have asked.

"Reaction speed" is in the defensive section. Doesn't that already affect picking off passes?

Oh my fault I thought it was in the defensive section. But reaction time also affects picking off passes too I think. I'm honestly not really sure what reaction time does, but I think it just has something to do with how aware a player is on the court. Maybe it also affects how easily the player can get their ankles broken since they won't be reacting quickly enough if they have a low reaction time attribute?

Maybe not though because Curry has a high reaction time and gets his ankles broken quite frequently, so maybe it's just their overall senses on the court and how well they react to things going on around them, like loose balls, picking off passes, etc

Reaction Speed is how a fast a defender reacts to dribble moves. Pass Perception is how well they pick off passes.

Does Reaction Speed only come into play when CPU is controlling player, then?

I wish there was a way for some attributes to be fluid and earned by online play. Pick and roll D, rebounding, pass IQ are just examples. Cause I'm not bragging but I pass more effectively than most the PGs I run with and my passing stats are all at around 40 right now. Idk how they even put pass vision and IQ into the game like Iv seen maxed out PGs constantly throw late trash passes

I just think some ratings should be from how you actually play.

I think it does. I tried out max for Nowitzki, and average 2 blocks per gm. Prior to that, it always feel like there's some input delay.

Try it out on big man and see!
