The 10 minutes it took to get past Paul George start menu on 2K17 was great for reflecting on life and stuff. Hope it's 20 minutes on 2K18.

2K knows damn well how dark that one minute of wait is for us. They want you to feel the weight of life, they want you to see your own death at the end of the road, the faces of the ones you lost, the girls that you loved but left you because your penis was too small, they want you to think about that one time you found a bug in your fried chicken, they want you to remember Jesus Bynum.

They know how long and dark that one minute of wait watching hopelessly that start menu is.

And then the game FINALLY loads after ONE MINUTE of spamming and destroying the start button and life is all rosy again and you don't give a **** anymore about the sliding, the bad spacing, you coudn't care less if the court is one inch too small on the baseline, you don't give a **** that Fournier looks like he hasn't ate since 2004, that the CPU gets better rebounding animations, that the crossover elite 6 is by far the best in the game... Nah you're just happy to breath, you hear the sweet music of your heartbeat and you play 2K like you discover it for the first time.

I still believe you should set your own menu. Allow us to set which mode to load directly into. No need for double to triple loading screens.
