Re: 2k18 All-Time Teams Roster Review

I just want to add, because i haven't seen these guys listed:

Zelmo Beaty - Atlanta Hawks (one of the great 60s centers)
Bill Sharman (umm one of the best guards of the 50s how is he not on the Celtics)
Neil Johnston (one of the great centers of the 50s, won a title with Arizin)
Roger Brown (one of the greatest Pacers ever)

along with the usual suspects that didnt get included
Charles Barkley
Reggie Miller
Moses Malone
Dolph Schayes
Paul Arizin
Gus Johnson
Marques Johnson
Bobby Jones
Chet Walker
Cliff Hagan
etc

I think the Pacers and 76ers suffer the most from these omissions

Re: 2k18 All-Time Teams Roster Review

the only reason 2k did all this all time team stuff, and these new teams, is to make it look like it took them so long to do all this, and its a huge addition, when in fact they have most the players already , and all they did is what most modders and fans do for free, move players simply onto a roster and dug into they're archive for face scans they already had. they added certain players that have no business on all time teams to just fill the spot and probably didnt even think twice about it

In some cases the more preferred players said no and in some 2k probably just didn't bother contacting them for classic teams benches.

hows danny green (definitely) more deserving than avery johnson? danny green has played for spurs for 6 seasons 1 championship, avery played with them for 10 seasons and helped them win the spurs 1st ever championship and was basically the floor general and leader on that team for alot of the seasons.

Danny is a far, far superior "specialist" than Avery ever was. Avery Johnson was a mediocre, undersized journeyman but had the benefit of playing with David Robinson, Timmy and (to a lesser extent) Sean Elliott.

Danny has plenty of flaws, but his latching on to the team helped them finally find a "3 - and - D" guard to compliment Tony, Manu, Timmy and now Kawhi.

Re: 2k18 All-Time Teams Roster Review

These are All-Time franchise teams. Not who we think is better than who.

Avery was there 10 years and averaged 10 & 7. Danny Green has averaged 10 twice and hasn't come close to 7 of anything in the 7 years he's been there. On top of that he's a ghost when you need him most that time.

Avery ranks 7th in games, 7th in minutes, 10th in FGs, 2nd in Assists, 9th in steals in franchise history. One title to go with it(Their first title)

Danny Ranks 2nd in 3pt FGs. His claim to fame. One title and All defensive team.

I think its clear who goes over who in terms of value to the franchise historically....
