To Spurs or not to Spurs?

So I was thinking as one of my GM saves this year I would take a top older team and make them younger and a lot more primed for long term success. Spurs is by far one of the oldest teams around. My fear is since Leonard will probably need to be traded to get some of the older guys off the roster through trades that the roster will be too depleted and the owner will can me after the first season because I didn't challenge for the title.

Advice?

(Full Disclosure: Other GMs will be expansion and rebuilding a crap team)

Personally, I wouldn't choose the Spurs if I was thinking of trading Kawhi. He's the franchise with Duncan gone. I'd make another run with the core.

Well the thought process is to make it another RTG type save but can't really do that with a 95 rated player in year one

Well in that case I'd recommend someone like Brooklyn or Orlando. Both have a lot of old guys under contract and a couple of young potential players.

Right a traditional RTG is one of my GM saves already, but I wanted something a bit different while also applying the same type of tactics.
