I'm really happy defense isn't automatically binding you to guys like in 2K17...or locking you into a specific sequence. It makes every interaction down court feel different.

Yeah I love that the players aren't magnetized. It feels more organic when moving around trying to stay with your man. Very pleased with the overall feel of the game.

Ugh. I haven't seen this happen so far during the course of my playing but. This was such a disgusting error last year. It's like they just randomly get switched to someone across the court and then switch back.

This hasn't been everyone's experience. Also, the difficulty is on pro. Scott said that superstar and HOF are the best versions of the game.

I was frustrated with the pick and roll animations. Anytime I was trying to fight around a pick I got magnetically drawn to go under instead of over, and vice versa.

I had the same experience. I was also getting pulled at times in transition.

I've personally seen it on multiple occasion playing 2KU; I just haven't mentioned it because people are going to say it's only on pro difficulty. It's the over extension, over rotation that's going to happen I suspect regardless of difficulty for very good reason. It's that Otto Porter effect. Scott said that if people start abusing it then they'll look into it. Without even needing the retail version, I suspect it's still going to rear its head regardless of difficulty for the following reason below.

I ran a test run on 2k14 isolation plays, rookie vs hall of fame. How the defense sets up and reacts to my isolation offensive movements is the same regardless of difficulty. Isolation on rookie and the defense sets up to clamp the paint. Isolation on hall of fame and the defense sets up to clamp the paint as well. Plus, if the past is any indication, hall of fame and higher the difficulty often results in the CPU AI doing stuff that's out of the norm to sometimes give the cpu the advantage. If it happens on rookie/veteran/all-star, I would be more worried about what would happen on Superstar/Hall of Fame.

NBA 2K18 AI Improvements Blog From Scott O’Gallagher

The following thread also shows example of the "otto porter" effect with Kobe Bryant leaving Ray Allen open. It's been discussed why it happen, but Kobe's initial setup position just doesn't add up considering prime Ray Allen is a 3 point specialist.
