Myplayer Gold vs HOF Badge - Big Difference in Green Success?

I have a simple question for you guys. I am torn between making a pure sharpshooter and a dual archetype build (Sharpshooter/defender or sharp playmaker).

My question for you guys is do you think HOF badges will make a big difference in green success vs gold badges? Its tough because I know i can't be the only one overwhelmed in hopes of just creating the right player.

I am going to buy VC to max my player inititally so i need some suggestions

Based off of 2KLab's research last year, HOF shooting badges had a higher percentage of greens that Gold. https://www.nba2klab.com/shooting/

Numbers will probably have changed but the increase in percentages through the leveling of badges is almost assuredly be in 2K18. Hence why they locked them behind pure archtypes 8/10, they are powerful and maybe even more so this year now that not every player can get HOF badges.

It'll be pretty hard to give you a straight up answer---our guess is as good as yours.
