2k18 actually looks more realistic than previous versions of 2k. People have become accustom to the glossy look as realism but if you compare it to an actual game IRL, the players aren't glossy at all. Only thing glossy is the court and that's only at specific angles.

sry, but the 2KU gameplay looks nowhere near realistic. it looks like washed out colors with some bad shading. Even if it's true that glossy look isn't realistic on players, the right shadows / tonemapping / ambient occlusion / lightning are imo completley looking garbage on that ps4 version. the park looked better though.

judging from the demos of nba-live on youtube compared to nba2k18, nba-live looked much better even if it's 'glossy'.

i used to play nba2k17 on pc with ultra-settings, so not sure how ps4(pro) version even looked in the past.
