NBA 2K18 Prelude - Error Code carryover?

Okay so I had NBA 2K17 and I cleared reserved space and couldn't connect to the servers (basically play the game) from March until even the day before prelude 2K18 dropped due to error code 4b538e50

So I download the 2K18 Prelude and I'm still getting the same error code and it's upsetting me because this game is so good and I want to buy it but I'm not gonna spend my money if I can't play it for half the shelf life.

I've contacted 2K Support numerous times and they have been pretty poor with help to be honest so I have come here for any help/suggestions or even a dev/2K related person that can help.

you should try posting this where more people will see it...especially devs...like the impressions thread ...i havent had this issue for prelude even tho i had it with 17 like alot have had. good luck tho! hope it gets resolved cuz yes it is definitely amazing to play...

I also get connnection errors (different ones) when I try to enter my career in the prelude. I played a MTO game on 2k17 directly afterwards, no connection errors there...

Have you tried deleting 17? or power cycle ur router and system?

Wouldn't they get upset because it's not an "impression"?

technically it is an impression cuz its an issue within itself. your impression is that u downloaded it, tried to play it but ran into a problem...the 24th letter is usually around in there. u can always pm him and get his opinion

You should have deleted and reinstalled and then turned on 2k17 and let it sit and sit and sit. Maybe for a couple of hours.

Okay i'm bumping, 2K Support was in contact with me on Monday/Tuesday but haven't answered since, I've tried all the workarounds with 2K17. Can anybody in here please help me I don't wanna buy 2K18 just to not be able to play it for half of launch and 2K Support has been very disappointing with lck of help.
