Did you not see the insane amount of sliding, warping, and clipping in this video? The physics argument works both ways.

Have you seen the sliding and warping in every modern video game with 3D characters? You'll see the same in NBA Live and Madden.

We're not talking about Live and Madden. We're talking about NBA 2k18.

You mentioned physics as a reason for an issue pointed out in the video, and I mentioned the lack of physics for something else.

And your point? I mentioned them because they're other sports games. I could've said any fps shooter or third person game. It's still a video game and they all have the same issues.

If you don't want to see clipping go make a real time physics engine that works well for sports games or any game that need lots of animations.

People wanted more control over animations and thats what we got at the cost of some clipping.

You dont notice this stuff in real time.

If you had 5 Kawhi Leonards (or whatever defensive person u want to put in) your defense still wouldn't be perfect. My point is there is no perfect defense in real life so why would it be perfect in a game? Last time I checked the Cavs are not a defensive team despite the greatness of LeBron and the Warriors have arguably 2 possibly 3 of the best players in the nba. Pick your poison who you want to defend. The video imo over exaggerated lack of defense but I do agree with the video as far as street ball is concerned. Playing defense like that (pushing) can lead to fights in real life. There is no perfect b-ball game and 2k18 won't be either. I am not saying don't voice your concerns but a bunch of patches won't help either. It could be just user error. At the very least play more than just the demo and whatever team you play with LEARN THEIR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES.

What does control of animations have to do with the ball going through players? I saw a full court pass from the CPU go through one of my players to get to the intended target.

You don't need to defend every issue the game has. Pointing them out the way the OP did is how things get fixed. If we keep making excuses, it won't change.

The purpose of a demo is to showcase the product. So if they want us to see the best of what they have to offer, they should either set the correct difficulty by default, or give us the option to change it instead of the barebones mode they put out. Or at the very least, give us some gameplay videos longer than 3 seconds to show that what we are playing does not reflect what we will see in the finished release.

The demo is over 15GB, yet has no option to change any settings except for the camera angle.
Purpose of a demo is to give people a small representation of what the gameplay will be like and nothing more. I compare it to getting a free food sample at your local grocery store. It's not like you would say to the store clerk: "Hey this small portion of apple pie isn't enough for me to decide whether I should buy one..Just give me a whole pie for free...lol
