It won't stop unless people stop buying VC, which we all know will never happen. For some people this is the only game that they buy so paying a godly amount of money on VC is nothing for them. Look at it like this. If they buy one game a year, full price $60, and you buy 6 games, $360 total, and they spend that much on VC for multiple builds then that would equal out to what you spend yearly on games.

I respect those that grind for their levels.
I also respect those that work hard for their money and choose to spend it how they like.

I, myself, am in no place to judge because I'm a product of both. Lord knows I've grinded hard on my 4 2k17 accounts (PG, SG, SF, C) to earn some badges to make them better. Every now and then I have an extra $4.99 I make the conscious decision to purchase a measly 15,000 VC pack knowing I'm going to waste it and possibly regret that decision.

However, I'm young and I have plenty of fun on 2k. That is why I purchased the game, because it's fun. As long as someone is having fun then I honestly don't see the reason for complaints.

It’s crazy to me how people judge others way of living. So what if guys preordered the legend edition for all the extra VC to boost their player? So what if some guys like to “grind” and not spend any money on VC? Who cares....? Seriously.

I got the game last night at 9, could only play it for two hours before I went to bed and now I’ve been at work since 9 AM.

While everybody else is out there “grinding”, I’m stuck at work not being able to play.

You bet your sweet *** if I played in the park I’d be using that extra 200K VC to get my guy to an 85 overall from the jump. That’s what it’s there for, that’s what came with my $100 purchase.

Too many folks trying to tell people how to spend their money or to play the game the “right way”. Some people don’t have time to play this damn game 10-12 hours a day to grind for VC and attributes.

Let people do what they want. All the same people giving others flak for purchasing VC are the same cats who keep preaching that they can beat these 85 ovr scrubs with their 60 rated player. Okay, so do it. Play the damn game and stop complaining about it.

No matter what time of day I hop online I see a whole Neighborhood of 60/61's, 80's also sure, but way more 60's than 80's.

Did see a 60 walk out of the VC store and thought of these threads though lol.

2K is still searching for that sweet balance of VC since it came out in 2K13. There are so many arguments on so many sides. Should people be able to get a high rating from the jump whether or not they live busy lives for the grind? How high should that rating be? How much VC should this take? Should VC be used for ratings only? Accessories only? Both? Is there a better way to implement VC in the game?

Their sweet balance is milking the F out of VC lol, they are making bank on VC. I don't think they care about "fair" for ratings jumps and blah blah blah, they are just making as much cash as they can. Soon we will be able to buy the white cap upgrades instead of playing for them, and they will be expensive af.

If 2k wants to keep its ever-rising micro transactions going, I hope they at least create tiered matchmaking. I think everybody benefits from this. People who grind don't have to get into a match with players who have ratings in a different tier, people who want to buy an 85 right away can match up with people who are close, and 2k still gets to nickel and dime the people who don't care.

Everybody wins.
