I wonder if they will be able to implement this into the game. I got a feeling we won't be able to do the player selection.Miami Heat

Re: New NBA All Star Game Format
I typically want everything to be like it is IRL, but in this case i would rather see them leave the AS game the way it should be, and the way it has been for all these yrs. This crap that the NBA is doing this yr with captains and not having conferences is the dumbest thing Ive ever heard of.
Atleast give us a option in MyLeague in the offseason to change it back to the way it should be, as I dont like this new AS format, nor do I think it will last to many years, before it goes back to EC vs WC.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Why do you consider it the dumbest thing ever exactly?I typically want everything to be like it is IRL, but in this case i would rather see them leave the AS game the way it should be, and the way it has been for all these yrs. The ASG has been stale for years now (borderline unwatchable with no one caring and no defense), what they did was make it more interesting, competitive and add more drama ("Captian A didn't select player B as his teammate!) for all the Steven A. Smiths out there.
And I agree with some analysts who suggested that they should've take it one step further and get rid of the conferences alotogether and just select 24 best players.Last edited by MacD; 10-04-2017, 05:43 AM.Comment

"No more East vs. West as NBA revamps All-Star Game format
Captains will draft from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves"
Can we get this patched soon, including players who already have saves (MyCareer, MyLeague/MyGM)?
I'm already in January on MyCareer.
It’s not a patch you need but a redesign. Patches are for break-fix issues.
I doubt 2K will have to allocate resource for this. Have to rethink the logic for 2K19. We haven’t even seen it yet in real life.Last edited by FerdBrown; 10-04-2017, 11:55 AM.Comment

Yeah I think the teams will be replicated in Play Now, but in the other modes probably not.
It doesn't sound like a hard fix though because the logic is already in game in the selection process of the Rookie/Sophomore game. Those aren't separated by conference. I feel like it's not a stretch to say that could be copy pasted over?Comment

Re: New NBA All Star Game Format
It might be possible this year. All they have to do is implement a fantasy draft for the ASG in MyLeague/MyGM instead of just placing guys on teams.
Maybe they'll roll it out around the ASG in a patch.
I'm not holding my breath on it, but I could see them putting it in."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

You actually think this is going to make the game more competitive, lol, if they didnt get give a crap about their conference winning it or not then they arent going to be more interested now without conferences going against each other.
There was a time many years ago, when the 1st 3 qtrs, it was about showcasing talent to fans, then come 4th qtr you would see guys dig in and that competitive fire come out.
I think it just shows todays NBA players dont have that same competitive desire and heart, as those who came before them. Which is why top players want to play together rather than beat each other. This is not to say they have no competiveness, you dont get to the pros, well unless your Andrew Bynum that is, without being competitive, but these guys dont have that same drive and determination as you use to see.
AS game has always been a showcase, of Conferences top players, or better put fans favorite players when it come to starters. So its not about grinding it out for a win, but it use to be once the 4th qtr started, you started to see guy defend more, and usually around about halfway thru give or take a minute or 2, you would start to see guys get after it on D, if game was close enough.
TBH, anymore the game isnt the best thing to watch, its the skills challenge and 3pt shootout that I care to watch, because guys do want to care about winning those things. I would say Dunk Contest as well, but last yrs dunk contest was not good, even with it being a Pacer winning it, I was bored to death watching it,lol.Last edited by CaseIH; 10-05-2017, 01:42 AM.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

That's not all they have to do, they have to re-tool any commentary about East vs West (in studio, aldridge, kevin harlan/greg and booth guys, etc.)Comment
