Has anybody experienced layups interacting awkwardly with the backboard?

I play on real FG%.

Layups are hitting the bottom of the backboard or my player is releasing the ball too late.

Sometimes I just tap (not even holding the button) and it still doesn't release properly on real FG%.

Maybe 2K needs to make the players on the court more aware of their positioning of the ball hand?

Thank you for opening this thread. I was going to the other day. But wanted to wait before I asked anyone else. I've had it happen a few times now. Even in freestyle I've had the ball hit underneath the backboard. Happen to me in local game offline.

i play in real% also with shot meter off/feedback. you need to wait for the controller vibration before you release the shoot button. regarding the hitting all the spot in the board this happens IRL just make sure you are not so low under the basket when dong layup this happens mostly with center.Peace

The reverse layup under the "circus" layup package hits the bottom of the backboard everytime for me. Guess my player is too tall?
