Close Game - Time winding down - Red markers on court?

What is happening here? During close games (within 3 points) red CIRCLED ❌'s are showing up on the court like the CPU is trying to call a play for you... why does this happen? What do the marks on the court mean? Can you turn this off because it's very distracting and none of us know what the marks mean or want us to do.
