4k TV

For those who have 4k TVs, does it help with the dark and dull courts? The lighting is just not good in my opinion. I have a 1080p tv, just wondering about upgrading soon.

Yes. It helps a lot. I have no issue with colors being dark or dull.

I'd say so, since 2K doesn't have an in-game option to adjust brightness. I own the 2017 Vizio M-Series and my brightness, and contrast levels on it make the pop as they do in real life. 2K seems to give their lighting system low contrast by default. Which is making the hardwood of the courts not look authentic. So yes, if you want true control over the lighting system for NBA2K you should upgrade to a 4K TV.

Re: 4k TV

I have a Samsung KS8000 and 2k18 is still dull looking even compared to past 2k games, HDR helps a lot but customers shouldn't be forced to buy a 4k tv 2k needs to adjust the lighting in this game the light doesn't even reflect off the players anymore things like that a 4k tv can't fix.
