Calling timeout when jumpball is coming

What is the idea of this? Is it even possible in real life after opponent has catched the ball in your hands?

This is a great question. Because from my experience I've only seen one timeouts called during a jump ball tie up. My cousin did it. But since then he hasn't been able to call timeouts. And it's happen to him a few times now.

This happens all the time in Pro Am.

Yes way too much and it sucks. Hope they fix it.

          I agree, it sucks

It happened to me just yesterday in pro am. I was going to have a jumpball during a defensive possession and the other guy called a timeout.

This has been a thing in 2K for years.

And no, it’s not allowed in real life. Once it is deemed that two players on opposite teams have simultaneous possession of the ball, neither side is allowed to call a timeout.
