Re: CPU Timeouts
I noticed twice on Saturday. Had my friends over and I was so shocked at one that no timeouts where called. That I went to settings to make sure they were on. And sure enough they were on. So I was really confused.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: CPU Timeouts
I think it's the new timeout format with league rules changed in that. They probably took out the code for calling timeouts. I was having trouble when to call timeouts. They would call timeouts after the 3 minute mark. And leaving me with one timeout for the whole game.

Re: CPU Timeouts
TO logic has been broken for a long time. It's even worse this year.

Re: CPU Timeouts
Ive noticed some games you may not see the CPU ever call a timeout, and sometimes they may call 1. Then I have had other games, where they use most of their TO, if not all of them.
In years past, TO were scripted basically, as you could just about guess each game when the AI would call a TO. So in a sense its probably better this yr than in past yrs, but definitely needs some tweaking.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: CPU Timeouts
This has been a big problem since the game first came out and considering the game has been out for like a few months now and had several patches and has not been fixed yet I don't think it is going to be. The game is amazing but this is a disappointment has it was not really a issue in the past. With this issue and the game not having enough fouls at times there can be to much time between there being a stop in the game allowing guys to be subbed out and also because of this guys get a little to tried on default stamina has timeouts help guys to get some stamina back and having to few makes it so that doesn't happened like it should. I would say like 90% of the time CPU will only call like 2-3 time outs the whole game. I don't think I have ever seen the CPU use of all them this year even once.Comment

Re: CPU Timeouts
How exactly is it better? I'd rather have them call them at the same time every game, than never call them at all.Ive noticed some games you may not see the CPU ever call a timeout, and sometimes they may call 1. Then I have had other games, where they use most of their TO, if not all of them.

Re: CPU Timeouts
Because Im seeing the CPU call timeouts, which is why I said its improved a little from past yrs, because in the past they were scripted TO, and you always knew when the CPU would use there timeouts. Is this yr perfect, no,but Ill take the randomness of the CPU calling a timeout which makes sense, rather than a scripted CPU where you knew ahead of time, no need for me to call a TO and waste mine, because the CPU will be calling a TO here shortly.
Only times I have had games where the CPU didnt use any TO at all, is when they are blowing me out, or if the game is back and forth will no runs from either me or them, then they wont call any either. But in games where there is runs made, they will use most if not all of the TO. The runs seem to be half to be around 10 pts before they call that TO.
Dont get me wrong, It needs fixed, but saying they never call timeouts is simply not true. I dont know why, but if your using advance rotations for both you and the CPU, it seems the CPU tends to call more timeouts. Im not the only one who has noticed this. I would hope they would fix some of these issue like the lack of TO, but Im not holding my breath, because I know how these guys work at 2k, and stuff like this, gets ignored, sometimes for 2-3 maybe even 4 yr, before they fix it. It frustrating, but there isnt another option for basketball, or any good option anyway, its too bad some company would come along and start making a good Basketball game, then maybe 2k would step up their level and fix things rather than just catering to the little kids who like to pay dress up Barbie with their MyPlayer, so they can go online and play.
Talk about something that needs fixed, the CPU managing foul trouble better, right now its basically broken, and has been for a few yrs. And the downfall to using advanced rotations is a player may foul out before halftime, because they wont pull a player with foul trouble using the advanced rotations. This was broke last yr as well, and as usual with the NBA2kteam, things like these take yrs to get fixed usually, since it dont effect the online part, for their casual kiddy gamers. Each yr this game gets less and less a simulation of NBA basketball, especially once they start patching and tuning things, and more about goofy gimic modes like MyTeam, and dress up MyPlayer, the new age male's version of dress up Barbie

10 games into my season, I might have seen a total of 3 time outs. Usually at the end of the 4th. It's very annoying to me how something like this gets by QA.Comment

Re: CPU Timeouts
Are you guys noticing a change after the latest roster update?
Look at this CPU timeout.
No run or anything, just your standard TO
