Re: NBA 2K18 Adds 12 New Players to All-Time and Classic Teams
I signed up to implore the 2K team to do whatever it takes to get Moses Malone in the game. As a basketball fan for over 30 years, I'm begging you. I know there may be complications in having to deal with his estate, but you got Wilt in the game and he passed away in 1999.
For those too young to remember, Moses is one of the top ten basketball players of all time by any measure. Yep, I said it.
He's ninth in career points with 27,409 and that's not even including the 2000 points he scored in the ABA. He won 3 NBA season MVPs. In 17 seasons, he averaged 20.6 points and 12.2 rebounds a game. In 78-79 he averaged 24.8 pts. and 17.6 reb (10 def 7 off) and 41.3 minutes a game, and in 81-82, 31.1 pts. and 14.7 rebs and 42 minutes a game. He dominated the boards to such an extent, one NBA scout claimed that in order to pad his rebounding stats Moses would miss shots on purpose knowing he would get the putback score --- though I doubt that. And he also brought a championship to Philadelphia.
Moses would be an all-out beast in 2K. And best of all we could then use the 82-83 Sixers, which is considered by many to be one of the top ten teams of all time. Malone, Dr. J, Maurice Cheeks, Andrew Toney and Bobby Jones were the starting 5. Before the playoffs, Moses predicted the Sixers would go Fo-fo-fo in the 3 round best of seven format. They actually went 12-1 to make it fo-fo-fi.
So I'm begging you 2K -- make it happen!
