    interesting additions for 2k19 mycareer

what are some things u think would be interesting to add?

    1. ability to (when u become a certain level) ask your team to trade for another player (the risk is you dont know who they will trade from the team to get said player)

    2. the ability to ask that a specific player on your team be traded (i play with some ppl on my team i would rather not be there)

    3. ability to request a certain coach (and you choose from a list of coaches that have styles that affect how the team plays...fast breaking, plays through stars, PG controlled offense [this should be a style], etc). all these can affect whether fans love you or hate you...team chemistry, etc...

    4. coach mode

    5. custom rosters for mycareer

    6. the ability to create plays for your myplayer...im not just talking custom plays, but actually create the plays from scratch that will be called for him...this would be cool as heck

I absolutely love your ideas for 5 and 6. Custom rosters pulls eliminate issues of not being able to start your season off with the correct rosters because 2K launches before the NBA season. You should be able to do at the end or beginning of each season. Custom plays is just dope as hell. Never crossed my mind.

I remember specifically in 2K14 that you were able to tell your gm that you weren't getting along with certain players or that you felt like certain players would make your team better. Wonder why that's not a feature anymore.

When you get to 90 OVR you going to get LEGM, LECOACH, etc. Set playtime for all players, let Kevin Love play the 5 [emoji28], influence trades as well as free agency.

              Interesting additions

Implement the Summer League as the Showcase game with the character as a walk-on player.

(After playing a showcase game), Let users decide whether they become drafted(go to random team) or undrafted(go to a chosen team).

Separate (non-competitive mode)MyCareer from (online competitive modes)Park and Pro-Am. Let MyCareer be the place where you can max out everything(all ratings and all badges depending on playstyle), see the story, and fool around with mulitple playstyles(lowered costs on Skill Points/VC).

The ideal is you make the player out of the dual archetype system and then while in the MyCareer mode the game prompts you when you upgrade past that template(past the white caps) into a full blown new age player.

Implement advanced rotations in MyCareer. I know you can influence your rotation in MyCareer. Let me suggest what position I play and when. If I have a Ben Simmons build I want to play at PG. I also understand there is On-Court Coach.

Give MyCareer players the ability to skip cutscenes(or at the very least if they have seen them already let them skip them).

              Private matchmaking for Pro-Am teams

              Keep the dual archetype system

              Keep the badge progression system

So is that feature for MyCareer, MyLeague, or MyGM? Or all three? I figure you could in MyLeague and MYGM but I don't play those, just MyCareer. I'm a 88 now, so when I get to 90 there will be a option for me to ask the GM for a specific player to trade for? Because if I can get Loul Deng off the Lakers that would be LOVE!!! Lol!!

Good stuff! To add to urban point about selecting the position regardless of build, I would like for us to choose not just our primary, but also secondary position... I created a 6'10 lock down SF... I intended for him to be a SF/SG, so I could guard perimeter players, including point guards but the game made me a SF/PF and completely messed up what I had in mind... Lol

It's just for MyCareer. Once you hit 90 overall you can influence trades, free agency targets, minutes in the rotation and all that. You become LeGM.

I agree. It makes no sense all that you have to go through just to make a new character in this game, it really is time prohibitive having to go through the tryout/showcase etc. and then all the early-game cut scenes. Not only is this annoying for us, I don't see how it makes financial sense for 2K (and we all know how they are usually trying to milk the players at every turn) because it would be to their benefit if it was very easy/quick to make new players (since quite a bit of VC is spent in upgrading new players/re-equipping them).

Looking at FIFA's Online Pro Clubs makes me cry sometimes: there you don't need to create separate careers or players. You go to your player's menu and just change your vitals (height, weight) and position (i.e. from Center Forward to Right Back) and the game adjusts your earned progression points to the archetype of that position (min and cap values). So if you completed some tasks as a forward that awards you with bonus to shot power, then the same amount is added to the base of Right Back (i.e. base shot power for CF is 60, but for CB is 30) so you don't lose all the time spent as a Forward!

Right now this is the most ridiculous system in NBA 2K where you can not "reset" your character and use your hard earned (or bought with hard earned cash) VC to re-spec your MyPlayer. Even if you are willing to pay again for a new character, there are badges you have to grind for again and doing it again and again is just a waste of time.

What I want: the ability to change my vitals and archetype before I load MyCareer save or go online.
For example, as a PM/3PT PG I will work on my HOF Anklebreaker and Long Range Dead-eye. But when I switch to Pure Stretch Four, then my Anklebreaker badge gets locked, I can not get bonuses from it and can't work on it's progress, BUT I do get bonuses from Long Range Dead-eye and can work on it's progress because Pure Stretch Four archetype includes this badge. The diff is that as Pure Sharpshooter I could use HOF bonus and as a PM/3PT i will only see silver effect.

Who will benefit from this system? People, who like playing different positions and archetypes, as they will progress faster than people who only use one position/archetype. They won't break any caps, just advance to attr cap and max out all of their badges with less time spent so they could enjoy the endgame, fiercer competition and spending sprees on those dunk animations and sweet gear.

Another option is like in NHL series, where in EASHL (6 on 6 online mode) all players have the same overall (85 I believe) but gamers can choose archetype and position of their player.

This way (in NBA 2K) you will earn VC to spend on whatever besides attributes for online player attributes and online success will be determined by the stick skills and getting the right squad and not by the ability to gring offline NBA games on Pro or willingness to pay to win.
