I agree w/ dudes who already said it'd probably be hard to 'get known' in this process. You'd probably have to have a social media presence or know people. Maybe if they were a friend of a social media guy.

No stats or W-L would make up for a couple of 'scouted games.'

I do think there are a lot of 'A talents' esp considering people's different skillsets. I believe if you put me on a team w/ 4 great players, I could fit in and make the team as good or better than if the 5th player was another stream-legend. And my stick skills are pretty wack nowadays, esp cuz I don't even care anymore.

Just understanding strengths and weaknesses of your team, being able to scout your opponents on the fly, etc... you don't need every player on your team to be a dribble gawd. I'm sure there will also be glue guys in there. Or I'd be surprised if there weren't.

It's funny how, at a decently high level, video game bball is a lot like real bball, in terms of team comp. I just hope 2k continues to strive to make it more realistic. I hope this league will help them realize all of the flaws in their game more quickly so they can patch them.

I'm seeing a lot of team ball since the qualifications started and it leads to some pretty competitive games. I've played 4 down to the wire games out 6, they need to find a way to make this the preferred way to play year round.

I’ve seen even more forced shots . But it’s 2k so they go in half the time.

I refuse to spend money to upgrade my guy. I figure if I play good with my 72 overall guy, I'll stand out.

I agree. The first day, I saw people gunning and ball hogging. I've played everyday since and man the team play has stepped up. I've played a lot of close games and won them, gained some new friends in the process

It'd be really cool if they left the competitive mode in for everyone to play afterwards. I'd love to play pro-am with 80 OVR and no badges. That sounds pretty good to me. I think dual archetypes should have stayed in but whatever.

Either way I hope we can all play in it even if we don't make it. This mode sounds way better than the regular "Grind one/two players and be stuck with them all year" mode.
