Shoulder width question

Is it true that when you lower the shoulder width of your player, their arms get longer? My friend told me that and it sounded crazy. If that's true, I really messed up my 3 players cuz their shoulders are the max. What did yall do for shoulder width?

Re: Shoulder width question

I always max my shoulders just out of being used to doing that

Do you still max your shoulders if your wingspan isn't maxed? I'm helping a friend with making a new player and his wingspan would only go up 2 times, not the max.

Re: Shoulder width question

I always max my shoulders and wingspan no matter what type of player I make. I don’t really see a difference other than shooting

Re: Shoulder width question

I made another player and lowered his shoulder width. The arms definitely got longer. I don't think it has worked like that the past few 2k games. That sucks for the main guys I made before my new one.

Is it just a visual thing or the numbers for wingspan actually increase as you lower shoulder width?

It definitely was the opposite case in 17. If you lowered shoulder width in 17 your wingspan nunbers would reflect the reduction.

It doesn't change the wingspan measurement, but I figure that having longer arms would have helped me get more blocks and rebounds. Or maybe not.
