dono. It doesn't need to be 'effective' or advanced, either, it could just reflect some prediction by 2k, or with new players just be random. Have the tendencies, at least usage rate and shooting kind of go into having the player be more assertive as they get comfortable, go into their prime, then maybe start to take a back seat. Then you can have players whose 'curve' doesn't quite fit, and they might be good, but their desire to still wanna be jacking shots when they aren't good anymore would make them a cancer, etc.

Or, more easily, it could reroll every year based on their attribute changes and personality badges + some slight randomness. Could even throw in some tweets like coach says so-and-so needs to be more assertive, and he agrees. Or so and so ready to have a great year. Or so and so is ready to do whatever it takes to win (taking a back seat.)

Those little things are important for making a franchise mode deep. I know I always play multi years if I ever play franchise. It almost seems like most of the dudes who play franchise sim and manage as much as they play the games.

that would be nice but again it also depends on your team. For an old example when the Twolves first were an expansion team one of their top picks was Laker end of the bench guy Tony Campbell. Well Campbell turned around and was the top option on the Twolves the first couple seasons. Shouldn't his tendencies change based on his situation? And if he is traded to a good team, his tendencies should go down, because after all he was merely the best option on an expansion team and not really a star level player.

So coding tendencies to go up and down both on a player's progression/regression and based on the needs of his team is just really complicated
