That's what I'm telling you they did with Kyrie last year. If LeBron hasn't announced where he's going or staying. Then he'll still be considered a Cavs player if he's still a pending F/A by September 7th.

I honestly think LeBron can choose to be an unsigned Free Agent all the way up until the deadline in March. So he could choose to take half the season off and to get signed near the deadline. But he's a superstar caliber player that is expected to play on opening day.
