Why is 2K14 Lighting Still Unmatched?

Omg, I’m glad someone pointed this out. Me and my friend talk about this everyday, how nba 2k14 is still there best looking game. Every thing about that game was just perfect especially the lightning

With competition back, I think they got to get 2k19 looking like that again

I have a Sony HDR 4k and the graphics suck compared to 14. Nba2k14 was beautiful. We have more body models now, but they’re not very good outside of maybe Durant. Lighting is bad, Colors are ok, body models are bad. Just take a long look at someone like Lebron. The upper body is great, but the lower body looks comically bad. Legs are like a foot too short, no glute muscles at all, and hips are tiny. Nba 2k actually has some of the worst player models in sports games. I put FIFA, pes, mlb, ufc, nhl and maybe even live over 2k.

Every year the impressions thread is filled with “best looking 2k” “significant improvement” etc. it’s all placebo. Nothing has come close to 2k14. And it sucks because that was supposed to be the starting point for us fans, or so we thought.

People complained 14 was too dark and colors were wrong. Anyway i don't see the whole looking like clay thing. We gotta remember lots of players weren't scanned for 2K14 and as they scanned more players some graphics elements took a hit. Still the game looks the most complete it's never looked imo. Bodies, faces and colors look better than ever.

Kobe and Lebron look amazing. Bodies are proportioned properly, Faces look amazing, colors and textures a amazing. I actually felt like I was controlling little cyber versions of themselves. Kyrie’s body looks like an adult on the top half, and a 10 year old kid on the lower half. It looks absolutely horrible. Just look at how ridiculous Dragic’a body looks in the background. I wish they would just make a stand-alone game with 14 graphics and tody’s rosters. I don’t need myplayer or mypark or really anything outside of maybe a season mode.

I’m not trying to be rude or condescending to anyone, but I just don’t understand how people can say 2k18 is anywhere close to 14.
