EDIT: On second thought, if they would simply also stretch the dimensions of the courts, they should be able to stretch the legs so it looks more proportional. Theory only.

True that. I think they took a massive short cut "slimming" the legs. Notice where the foot is now at the white stripe.

Instead of completely revamping the proportions of player models, which will affect all animations, they needed to retain the overall "height" of all players especially taller players like Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid, Dwight Howard, etc. so all animation still "fit" or "work" properly.

Without touching the dimensions of the court, simply stretching the legs of all players will add an extra foot to everyone. Taller players will now have their heads touch the net, when dunking their heads will hit the rim, going up for rebounds mean their stretch out arm length will likely extend higher than the top of the backboard or somewhere close, etc.

That's the problem when they didn't get the proportions correct from the get go. Unless they decide to truly fiddle with the proportions for "everything" involved, we'll have to wait for the PS5 or XB2. It certainly can be done on the PS4/XB1, but the question is if they want to invest the time to fixing the problem.

That's my theory.

Yeah, lighting. Also, those first pics of digital Lebron aren't representative at all. Bad resolution from ingame.

Alot of people seem to just try to bash 2K everytime they can. Don't know if you are just one of those or generally concerned.

If you are concerned and really care you need to use high resolution pics from the game. On the TV things look really good and you need to use that to compare. That would be the fair comparison.
