Haven't played MLB in a long while. But the problem with career modes is the direction they go in. Me personally, I don't want over the top theatrics but at the same time I don't want a "player lock" because it gets boring if you just play and sim ahead.
So just give me the full player experience without theatrics. But the most important thing is the gameplay. Gameplay always comes first. It will make or break any mode especially career mode.

I think MyCareer is going to be a loose narrative of LeBron's story growing up in Akron, having the unreal expectations placed on you to then exceed them. Not sure how they would handle the transition from high school to the pros since currently you have the one and done rule in the league.

I would not be shocked if LeBron is the executive producer as someone else said.

Really hope I'm not wrong after the embarrassing 2k18 MyCareer story , but I really feel 2k is going to try to do the exact opposite of 2k18 and if anything have the story be more on the serious side with some dramatic moments similar to the Spike Lee directed story. Maybe you'll get to first use your MyPlayer as a kid/teenager first shooting jumpers at the park or rec center or a nice little intro into the story.

It's impossible for it to be as bad as 2k18 so I think we are good even if they don't go this route, but we'll see.
