Jumping on pumpfaking players is a guaranteed foul in 2k19

Yh i'm hoping it can't be abused too and suck you into foul animation. I should still be able to keep my hands up and not draw a foul and my AI should mind his own business. Majority of the fouls I draw come from my AI players smh.

Yh this too. I don't think a foul should literally always be called. It should work where fouls would be called most times, but during the times when a foul doesn't get called, they end up out of place like you're saying, allowing you to go up for the easy basket.

I gotta be honest with you 24th, in 2K16 when they had pump fake fouls it was never a problem. When I played Pro-Am or used an NBA player people would bite when Id fake a post fade and then Id go right around them. Other times when I wanted to get to the line I would up n under through them. If someone was spamming pump fakes all you had to do was keep your feet down and they'd either travel or take a bad shot.

I will say this though, I share your concern in one regard though... I would not want the 2K18 meta of athletic contact dunk cheese mixed with pump fake foul spam... That would be absolutely horrific...

I think 2K11 has this down perfect. If a player jumped and you timed it right by leaning your LS in and shooting, it would cause a shooting foul.

I am just hoping if I get someone to leave their feet off a pumpfake, I can just go by and shoot the middie or etc without it making me draw the foul like I believe 2K16-17.

This. In 2k16 the animation was pretty automatic if you got a defender in the air. I hope we have some type of control over it this year.
