Exactly. Dirk's fade and Kareem's sky hook, for example, are practically unguardable. You can't tell me those are affected by how contested it is because they always are.

As a guy who has played lockdown the last 2 years I think the biggest change is just intercepting lazy passes. In Park/Pro Am settings there were quite a few times when I saw a pass coming but it was almost impossible to get a clean steal. I am fine as a balance that if you miss time the steal you are given an animation that puts you out of position on defense.

Overall from what i sense from all that i read is that they try not to nerf things out but to embrace a lot more basketball elements in a variety of ways that they couldn't in 2k18 so it's all hopeful for 2k19..

Theres a lot of things thats calculated under the hood like slashers decreasing chances of finishing the more contact they get. I dont believe anything like that until I see it in action, so give us some gameplay...

Wang said they won't call fouls when the ball is out of the shooters hands?

I hope this is only for layups. Otherwise another year of no fouls on 3 point shooters.

If 2K actually called fouls on jumpers more often, we wouldn't be having these turbo closeouts from the paint all the time. Until they fix this, people will have no reason to stop sprinting into a shooter without a hand up.
