if it's in prelude, that's fine. They've been pretty good as not forcing situations on you after career actually starts rolling (in 2K16 you had the scripted first season, which was a little bit of a low, but they set you free afterwards).

Eh I played longshot for last years madden and this trailer is giving me those vibes. I hate these forced story lines but I'm fine with it if you can skip the cut scenes.

Yes, but the G-League is looking forced too. What if I just want to play in the NBA as a top pick? Everything is just so forced, zero freedom at all from the looks of things.
