Did they change the controls for Stepbacks, sidesteps, and eutosteps?

I haven't been able to trigger any of them with the right stick. I know in 2K18 the right trigger and right stick would perform the stepback and sidestep shots, and the right stick away from the hoop and toward the offball hand would do the eurostep.

I was wondering the same thing, honestly. I couldn't pull off a stepback jumper with the right stick to save my own life.

I think Euro step is now down left/right. Stepbacks are only on the shoot button now.

Not sure what you mean by side step? You mean a hop gather to the right/left? When in the triple threat you can hold the right trigger and push the stick left/right and he’ll do a hop to the left/right.

I was wondering this at first too.

All step backs, side step shots are done with Square/X now outside of the momentum step back where you hold the stick diagonally from your ball hand while driving...

I used to hold left or right on the left stick and double tap shoot to do them side step shots ..now all I get is spin shots.

That used to be my bread and butter out of sizeup moves as a shot creator to the point where I do it like muscle memory..gonna suck to figure it out again.

I think it’s all the same. Maybe the fact that the default setting is “absolute” instead of “camera relative” is throwing you off?

Change controls to camera relative rather than absolute.

Idk which you mean, but there's stepbacks and there is also hop gather which looks similar if you do it backwards. Stepback is still turbo+ down on right stick and hop gather is Square/X+ left stick in the direction you want. Euro is now right stick left/right to off ball hand.

Stepbacks can be completing by driving laterally and pulling down on the R-Stick or driving towards the rim and pressing down on both the Left and right stick.

Ive been able to get hop steps and euros pretty consistently, but i always used the right stick.

Anyone been able to pull off a euro/hop step transition into a dunk?

Hmm. Every time I try, my player just immediately shoots. I really hope they’re not limited to the button only. I hate using the button for shooting.

They are different, even if you change the controls to camera relative like I do.

I use a combo of square/shot stick depending on what I'm trying to do. For example in 19 to do a euro step, while driving, pull the shot stick towards your opposite hand. Pulling it toward your ball hand will make you do a cradle layup. Shot stick towards the rim will do a strong layup and slightly to the right or left of the rim (not directly towards your hand) you'll do a layup with that respective hand.

There's 4 different stepbacks you can do. The one you could always do by tapping square and the left stick in the direction you want to step back or by pulling the right stick relative to the direction you're driving. There's a new stepback out of the triple threat by holding R2 and tapping the right stick back, as well as one with a standing dribble. Also the same ones you could always do out of the post.

The only thing I'm struggling with is post dropsteps, it seems tapping square is extra sensitive and makes me instantly pumpfake too much instead of dropstep.

If you’re doing the spin shot, you may be holding turbo. I know if you hold trubo you’ll do a spin layup or spin jumper.

Same here.

I tried to trigger some side steps and hop gathers but I’d just immediately shoot with curry. I prefer to use the rs for those moves instead of square it feels more fluid and I can chain it better with moves.

Are we able to choose what hand to finish with now with the new euro step control?
