The speed that the ball is " pulled back" into shooting position determines how fast you release

Bringing back from the dead because I made a similar post, but i've played hours practicing shots with and without meter. With meter is the best way. It gives you a gauge on the perfect release point. Some fill up slower than others but that's due to the player's release point. I'm getting a lot better now.

Its hard to explain and not sound like im stating the obvious. But release the ball with the flick of the wrist on the shooting animation.

Then you have people like me, who when played older games, the closer you got to the top of the meter the better something was... i.e. faster pitch, gas pedal, throwing the football harder and shooting an accurate shot.

The shot meter is bull****. It needs an area toward the top to of the meter that if your timing is right it works and if you hit the actual top of the meter, then it's green because that means it's a perfect timing press of the button. Otherwise this is bull**** and goes against all gaming logic and does nothing but piss me off because I can go back and play Double Dribble, NBA Jam, etc and that's how it works for them.
