"Buying your Player"

Nobody is mad at you for spending your money. People are mad that you have to "grind" or pay. I'm similar to you: I'm too old for grind. I'm different in that I'd rather just pass on it. Got it last yr and generated a lot of vc without actually playing (simcast or cpu v cpu when I was watching TV or whatever.) still there were badges I didn't finish out. I like to make multiple dudes too, so...

The "anger" isn't really directed at you guys because that's what the game is designed to do. Ideally, we could all bite the bullet and boycott until it was more friendly. Someone was posting that this year it'll probably only take one full season to get your guy to an 85. Haha. It's like gee. I think it should take like a week of semi serious playing to get 85, then maybe let the grind be harder to get way up. Dunno.

We get it tho. All signs point to buying vc being the best option. We're not all scraping for food, yknow going a week without our grilled cheese sandwiches so we can afford to purchase a bball game. Probably everyone who can afford psn sub and a full price game can afford to drop another 50 or 60 whatever it is. It's just sad that the game is so tedious without it. I encourage people who don't understand to try it. Start as a 60. Just one time. Then you might understand our "anger."


Also, re:skill I've gotten worse and worse at 2k the more grindy it became. Still decent tho. I might even fire it up tonight for one last run.

I begrudgingly buy VC to max my dude too.

If the entire (or majority) of the community got together and refused to buy VC, things would change...maybe. But, sadly, when weighing the cost versus the time to grind to 85ovr the choice is easy and 2k wins. Not the best to basically give them what they want, but I buy as little as I can. Last year I bout 200k vc, and topped up once.

Yep.It seems like the ones who have the biggest issues with it are the ones who would save themselves the most trouble by just buying the dang VC. They clearly care. They want to be rated well enough to compete with the other high rated players. They just don't want to invest the time (which is cool). They don't want to pay, either. Which is cool, I suppose. Mm. I kind of take exception to a part of this. Don't want to invest the time, we obviously did. Year after year. But its getting more and more time. It's anger directed at an uncontrollable slope that is affecting your enjoyment of a game. And we believe, maybe wrongly, that if we just bought vc 2k would just hose us more.

I bought vc before. 20 bucks a couple times when vc was easier to earn. It was fair. It wasn't like that in 18 and until we see the entirety of 19, you can't say it's better. Just like saying my league online is gonna be great and work cuz they told you.

I think some of you are missing out on "our" true bitterness and what we are trying to do. It's like you guys are telling us just adapt but back lash changes games, we'll see how it ends up. Life is long. So is the arc of a gaming franchise.


Tbh I feel you are assuming more about us than we are about you. We are doing this for what we believe is a noble cause.

everyone that buys vc is Part of the Problem. nobody buying vc = no vc implementation

everyone should just buy the Standard Version of this game and afterwards Not spend anything at all on vc...

Not that it bothers me that much, i dont even Play any vc related Modes. on the other Hand what me bothers is when 2k overrides all Ingame Stadium dornas with vc Ads.

What a joke. It isn't that serious at all. Grind from 60 if you want to make your point. Not everyone has time for that. There is plenty of grind to be had after 85.
