Bought Anniversary Edition - standard edition preloaded?

Yo guys,

I just pre-ordered the anniversary edition from the Microsoft store and the game automatically started to pre download. It's finished the preload and it's showing Giannis and taking me to the standard edition saying it's available on the 11th.

WTF? Anyone else had this?

I think the anniversary edition is probably a couple hundred MBs if that.

I have a separate file that is 100MB

On the subreddit they say you’re fine. It says the same thing for me too. I went to my purchase history through my Xbox and it shows my purchase with it saying the release date 9/7. When you click on the “what’s in this bundle” it shows the standard edition

Only a few hours until release and this is happening with me as well...contacted MS and they told me to wait until midnight or to try to re-install the game.

I told them I'm not going to download that mammoth of a file (55 GBs) again. I already let them know that I'll want a refund in case I can't play come midnight.

That's what happens when we're idiot enough to pay 100 bucks for a game. Good gosh...

ps.: I should've bought it for PS4 Pro...

I'm in Brazil, my time zone is one hour ahead of the US (eastern time).

I'll be able to check this out in 45 minutes. I'll let you guys know. Nevertheless, this shouldn't be happening. Getting very anxious here as well...

Pretty sure everything is fine guys. I got the Anniversary Edition as well. The standard edition releases on Live on September 10 at 10 pm. If you click on the tab on your pre-order after installing it takes you to the standard edition in the store, but if you go back to the Anniversary Edition's page in the Microsoft store you'll see it has it available September 6 at 10 pm. It shows you own that edition so once 10 rolls around we should be good to go. Really 2K screwed this up by making only the Anniversary Edition the one that drops early. They shouldn't have done that. It's a pretty cheap move to pull on the community that's supported them all these years.

It would help if they used a timer just like on the PS4.

Yeah I was wrong about this one. 10 pm came and went and I don't have access to the game. That's a problem for me. 2K ****ed up on this one. Should have just made the whole game release early like usual, not two different editions with two different dates.
