Why are there hidden shoes in 2k? Creating a player and they randomy had on the Q4 MB shoes.

Those along with BigBallerBrand, Converse, Li - Ning, And1 (not sure if they are still in game), BrandBlack (same with these), Puma, Peak, New Balance (if they are added, etc. aren't official endorsement partners of the NBA.

So, those shoes appear in - game with the appropriate athletes but can't be edited by us. It sucks but is likely a term of agreement between 2K, the NBA and those brands.

Figured I would post this chart again that I made I think 2? years ago. It lists all of the materials by order of 'shine' to them. I made it to get more accurate looking materials for the shoes since the name of the material isn't exactly indicative of how it actually looks. I feel like a lot of the Default material settings look off from how the shoes actually look in real life so I go through and change the material on every shoe that I make. I like using Rubber for leather shoes, Velvet for rubber soles that have very little shine, Fabric or Suede for Lining/Laces/Stitched logos.

Here's the tier list of shine that I use:
