A quick first step is no issue. It’s when people chain together an exact spin move, cross over and behind the back that makes the ball handler move at 2X speed and warp past the defender.

The warping (aka speed-boosting) is what does not exist in real life. If people really wanted to have a quick first step they would make a build with max acceleration. People want to speed boost so they can cheese in Park.

This whole thread is dumb. 86 means you get fast explosions out of tier 2 dribble moves. Tier 3 is not unlocked without 90 ball control.

How did you guys miss this?

This is false lol. Once you hit 86 ball control everything is unlocked. They got rid of the 90 rating limit right before the game came out. Xbox users just aren't able to momentum and Speed Boost even with the required rating to do so. We don't have the issue on PS4.

I try and be civil on these forums and look at arguments objectively but a couple of you guys are just really irking me. It is obvious that you do not have the knowledge of the game that others possess so stop coming on here spewing your better than thou bs when you have no idea what your talking about even when people are trying to help educate you on the game's mechanics.
I hated the park last year and primarily played proam. As a matter of fact I averaged 32pts 6 ast for my team, 19 pts 9 asts in the 2k league combine, and 26pts 5 asts in walk on playing with complete randoms maintaining an A rating. I have not seen many doing those kind of numbers and I still never come here just to brag. However, the audacity of people I would probably consider scrubs lecturing me on being a park cheeser, saying my complaints are stupid, and dismissing my arguments is asinine. I'm sorry, but you are the one's looking stupid, because you don't understand this is a game with a set of tools you can utilize to be good. You look stupid because you won't listen when people tell you 2k officially put out charts to show which player builds could reach thresholds to unlock those tools but when the game dropped those charts were not correct. Then players like myself who made builds that could just make the threshold in order to maintain higher stats in other areas wasted time and money only to have 2k refuse to acknowledge there is a problem. Instead they tell me, someone who has put hundreds of hours and dollars into this greedy franchise that nothing has changed and I must be doing something wrong while refusing to do a simple test that would literally take 5 minutes.

Update:

Tested again after patch 4 and the issue is still not fixed. I am trying to bring awareness so players such as myself are not left feeling cheated after making builds based on the charts 2k released.

I don’t know, but I have what should be the fastest player on the court at any given moment (6’3 min weight playsharp) and still get chased down by bigs on the open floor/fastbreaks and can’t break down or get past stretches/glass on the perimeter.

Tired of height/weight being a substitute for defensive proficiency.

I completely understand your frustration I still have not been able to fix the lateral quickness attributes 2k said they corrected via The latest patch... For players that are 6’7...?

I didn't even realize that was an issue, hope it gets resolved. At least they have acknowledge your issue and are working on it. In my case they refuse to admit the problem exists even with credible evidence. And a lot of people wasted time and VC based on the charts they released.
