Differences in Difficulty Levels (Da Czar)

This has been posted in several threads, but I feel it's important to post it here in the general forum because there is a real difference in how difficulty levels have been worked this year...and this video itself will answer a lot of the questions that will inevitably come up.

Seems like All Star is most balanced, realistic level this year.

What level will you guys be playing on?

I've only played one game against the AI so far, but this was default Superstar. KCP hit some nice buckets for me and Kawhi's defense was ridiculous. Fun game, felt good. Too small a sample size to say where I'll be playing yet, but if they're all like this it'll probably be Superstar.

How I’d always determined the best difficulty is scroll through each one and see which is the most balanced regarding changes made to the attributes section. This year, attributes are identical on All Star save for cpu defensive awareness being 40 instead of 50.

24th- you should make this a sticky and link all Czars youtube videos. Czar would like us to make his videos accessible to as many users as possible.

Yeah lock down defenders are scary this year. Played superstar as well but I'm going to try all star when I get home from work.

Let us know what you think. Since you tried SS too, I'd appreciate the comparison.

21 vs 15 steals... the last season NBA leaders were the Thunder with 9... both teams had 4/5 assits more than the Warriors this year (29)... need some sloders work

Re: Differences in Difficulty Levels (Da Czar)

I have been playing on all-star. Only slider adjustments were a +15 inside/driving contact shot for both user/cpu and a 10-25 increase in all foul sliders.

Played four 12min quarter games thus far. I am 2-2 and have yet to shoot below 50% (playing as my lakers).

Games have been fairly competitive so far. I was able to outscore SA by 20 in the 2nd half in one game(w by 26), lost in Phoenix the next (they shot 56%, Okobo dropped 34!!), and then ousted Denver 108-71 at home.

So far i have noticed several turnovers by the CPU while inbounding from the sideline. 3-5 per game it seems. I don’t deny players the ball either, lol.

I also noticed a large difference in play by the cpu while playing Denver. I did save mid-way thru the first and loaded the game back up to continue a few hours later so i wonder if that had anything to do with it. They didn’t seem to run much of anything offensively nor did they make any defensive adjustments. They shot 31% on the game.

Has anyone ever noticed a difference in play while re-booting a saved game in my league?

From that one game playing against the wolves. Jimmy Butler pretty much nullified my second scorer Tim Hardaway Jr. It didn't help that even wide open I couldn't get his shot down lol

Well paced game....the scores weren't ridiculously high. It was in the 40's by half...

Noticed the CPU not hesitating on exploiting mismatches against me. Kanter started strong for me until he was just gassed by KAT. I had no answer against them after the 3rd.

I didn't feel cheated either....I actually tried to cheat against the CPU trying out what worked on 2k18 to get a score. Nope...I lost by 15....

I'm itching to play again and I want to try all star but I'm stuck at work for a few hours.

Usually play on HOF every addition, this year I may consider bumping down...

                          HOF is really HOF.

HOF with CPU shooting turned down to 45 to mirror the user shooting. Having the CPU and the user have the same shooting sliders is a must. Otherwise, 71 rated 3 point shooters like Colin Sexton will hit over 60 percent of his open 3's. If the CPU shooting was more realistic HOF would be the perfect game vs. the CPU. User vs. User HOf default is the way to go, otherwise shooting is to easy. Imo

Rob, you think USER vs USER; HOF is still the way to go?
