XP has been reduced

Hold on. They LITERALLY decreased the amount of XP you earn, or is it that you don't get as much as you progress?

2k reduced xp across the board without telling anyone, because a few mypark guys cried about career guys.

Agreed, but this was the year where they took the communities criticisms on board and made a more user friendly, less grind intensive game. It also speaks volumes they did this on the full release day.

Most moves accrue around 30% less mypoints now. So you might have gotten 500 for an alley oop on Superstar before but now you’d get 350.

Funny thing is, I would much rather be playing Park or Pro Am than MyCareer, but I can't play either of those online modes yet, because 2K starts out your MyPlayer at such a low OVR that he will get destroyed if you try to take him into Park or Pro Am, where everyone is already a much higher overall than your MyPlayer begins at, and the majority of online players you'll face have maxed out their OVR rating by purchasing additional VC.

I am only in MyCareer because 2K is forcing me to play MyCareer until I can "catch up" to all of the people who bought their head start over me.

Cried about the MyCareer guys? Meaning? Do you have a link to a thread or video rant on this? My first thought is that it seems kinda silly for them to whine when they can "buy" their player. If this change was a result of their whining, then this creates a "rich vs. poor" ecosystem.

Did they lower VC payouts as well, or just the MyPoints or whatever for badges and cap increases?
