NBA 2K19 Gameplay Tuning Update Arrives Tomorrow, Details Here

NBA 2K19 Gameplay tuning update tomorrow morning: brings a better balance to Perimiter (buff) vs. Inside (nerf) shot contests for fewer blown layups and less OP outside shooting. And also a slight reduction in the effectiveness of steals out of body ups and fadeaway 3's.

If you're already taking smart shots you shouldn't feel much of a difference. This update will just help reward good perimeter defense and punish people for forcing contested shots. I should probably make it even stronger but don't want to make drastic changes.

Good to hear. MyCareer online game modes were beginning to get absolutely ridiculous if you played versus a cheesy team with a stretch big.

Think it's linked to park players defence of being posted up - spam the steal button. Although to be fair, it doesn't matter what the situation is, a park players defence is always to spam the steal button!

They've been doing it all together for awhile now. Whenever Online gets a patch, offline gets the same thing, even if it doesn't need it.

I’m not sure if anyone from 2k watches these guys play park. I’ve watched a few videos and it’s the most god awful thing I’ve ever seen!
Spam random dribble moves like someone with muscle spasms, even when you’ve had three clear paths to the bucket and two wide open teammates.
Finally score and call the other team trash, talk about how bad their IQ is, and call yourself a dribble gawd.
What the hell are you even doing?

Wow just 10 days after release, theres already a gameplay patch how terrible. Here we go again with 9 updates in the first 4 months of this game. Seriously what kind of people does Take Two hire?? You guys really need people that KNOW THE GAME. And no not the video game aspect, im talking about real life BASKETBALL.

Don't really understand what your problem is with this. Users are always going to find ways to exploit the game in ways that the devs cannot prepare for. If you would like to argue that there should be a beta to prevent some of these issues, I can understand that, but I don't think they should just leave the game the way it is for the sake of it if they have clear and reliable data showing that the game is not playing the way it was meant to be played and balance is out of whack.

I don't disagree with you and this isn't necessarily a patch either.

I also don't think the balance was out of whack, spammers just gonna spam no matter what you do.

Nah people were greening fadeaway threes too easy . It’s getting reduced .

Does this mean contesting layup will be harder for us when playing offline vs CPU? I find the tweet a bit confusing.
