    Re: Adaptive coaching engine

I don’t really notice ACE calling good plays for me. I more so noticed ACE having the opponent-CPU reuse the same play over and over until you stop it, if you have a player on your team with weak interior defense be prepared for a cut and pass and make every single time every other possession. This is what I’ve noticed on Superstar difficulty atleast, i like All-Star this year seems to be the most balanced

To have the CPU call plays for you btw, go to settings—coach settings, and set coach offensive play calling from manual to automatic and turn the play art from default to full

So with it on the CPU calls the same play till you stop so would off be better so the CPU dosent keep running the same play

Maybe it's just me but I see the same plays over but only because they are scoring off of them. Once I stop it, they call something else

Sounds realistic though. Teams cheese plays in the NBA all the time if they keep working.

                Re: Adaptive coaching engine

I noticed the cpu doesn’t use the predetermined coaching adaptations. For example, when I choose a matchup between the 91 Lakers and 91 Bulls, Scottie Pippen doesn’t automatically guard Magic Johnson. Instead, Paxon guards him the entire game. Also, I noticed if you pick the 88 Pistons against the 88 Bulls, you can’t even choose a “focus on” for any of the players. I tried to choose “Jordan Rules,” but I couldn’t choose anything.

I also have plays set to auto, but I leave ACE, but I do make changes and override it at times, just as I do with calling plays. Sometime I will call plays thruout a game, but the flow of the game is just better to me, than having to take time to always call a play for a player. But I do call plays from time to time, but I always leave it set to auto.

ACE really hasnt impressed me, I dont feel its ever worked the way they meant for it, or told us it would, but I leave it on, because Im not sure, but turning it off, may effect the CPU as well, and I want the CPU using ACE and making changes to stop me. I could be wrong, maybe it has no effect on the CPU and it just effects you. Thats the way it should be anyway, but you never know with the devs of NBA2k,lol. So I just leave ACE on, but I do override it, but when a timeout is called, you got to remember to got to reset it, because it reverts back to ACE control at each timeout called.

Where is this turned on and off? In settings somewhere?
