I do not a lot of fouls and honestly it's just the right amount of a challenge for me as I only play a game or two a week. I'm having fun at this level.
I agree , if they ever could fix the fouls this would be a good level for me. I just can’t stand having the cpu shoot 4 free throws a game anymore , it’s killing the game IMO
Pro is definitely the way to go if you don't have an ego lol. This has been the case ever since 2K introduced difficulty levels.
A lot of people like to poke their chest out & play on Superstar or Hall of Fame for bragging rights. The fact of the matter is if you play on any level above Pro you will see a lot of shenanigans (aka cheating) kick in.
If you put the CPU offensive awareness to 100 you will still get a challenge but without nearly the amount of shenanigans on Pro.
My slider set is on PSN under the name "Thank me later" for anyone interested.

I dont understand how playing on superstar or higher ties with having a big ego?? Some people like competetion and some people like to play laying down on the couch. Me personally i played 2k for over 10 years so i know how to adjust every year to how the cpu plays. Playing on SS i still sometimes blow out teams by 20-30 points. HoF is a different story and just doesnt feel fair at all.

Well if you'd play on pro you'd know its competition without the cheating. Plus it's the best difficulty for realistic stats.
I'm playing on PRO right now.
Me (Lakers)
CPU (Clippers)
Lakers - 53
Clippers - 55
I gained a 15 point lead over them, however in the second quarter they came storming back. I feel momentum on PRO. It provides a challenge however it doesn't feel as if the CPU is cheating. If the CPU comes back, it's because you forget to call timeouts during runs, and forget to make adjustments.
Clippers are shooting 50% from the field (23/45). Lakers shooting 55% from the field (21/38).
Clippers went to the line 3 times, while the lakers went 8 times. I do agree, we do need more free throw attempts.
Overall, i am enjoying PRO. I cannot do HALL OF FAME simply because anything above pro, the CPU cheats.
How does the CPU offense play on this difficulty level?
Thanks,
I think it plays the best on pro. I think I adjusted the defensive consistency of the CPU a tad (lowered a few points). But overall, pro is all I play on 19.

Funny thing in career mode, I think all star is most accurate. I would like to play Pro, but on that level I was seeing frequent huge blowouts and 60% shooting for my team, and not because I was doing anything terrific. I was scoring 15-20 ppg and shooting around 40%. This was with the Pistons, who are good but not great.
My 2nd player is a 73 overall center with the Kings and we're 23-21, which is pretty good for them, also on all star.
In the end there is no right difficulty level, it's whatever is right for each individual
I have been playing on pro, all star is just too tough for me right now anyway, and thats fine with me, I would rather the game be too hard that too easy. Im sure with a lot of slider adjustments in my favor I would do fine on all star, but on pro, the only sliders I have really had to crank up are the foul sliders, do to the lack of fouls.
ACE is full utilized on all levels this yr, so depending on your skill level, you should be able to get a realistic game on the level you choose to play.
It dont matter whether your on rookie, or on HOF, you got to have the foul sliders cranked up too 100 or close to 100. It obvious the game has a major issue with a lack of every foul, except reach in, and shooting fouls inside the paint.
And for whatever reason the devs ignore and refuse to fix the lack of fouls. It obvious they know there is a major issue with lack of fouls, because almost everyone who plays offline is complaining about the lack of fouls.

Well said. Just curious, did you level up ALL the foul sliders? all 100?

Too true. I have played 100's of games in the last 3 years and have not seen 1 foul on a jumper.

I have my foul sliders as this:
Over the Back- 100
Charging-100
Blocking- 95
reaching- 90
Shooting- 90 I have tried at 95, but havent quit figured this on out yet, as putting this at 100, you will see to many fouls on drives and fouls on shots in the paint. Even at 100, your not going to see fouls on perimeter shots, especially on 3pt attempts, the devs have had this broken for 2 yrs now, and they refuse to fix it.
Loose ball fouls- 100
Im at a loss, and I havent had much interest in playing NBA2k19 for a while now. Just burnt out on the lack of effort the devs put into the offline side of gameplay, and in the ML, and MyGM modes.
There are things, I like about 19, like the flow of the game, and presentation obviously has always been great. But Im a offline ML player, and when there are bugs that they wont fix, and there is such gameplay flaws as the lack of fouls being called, it just ruins the game for me, and Im sure Im not alone either.

In career I'll usually blow teams out by 30 in career on pro. On all star they will usually keep it close until the 3rd when i blow the lid off the defense.
On superstar and HOF the cpu just goes crazy tho. Not even enjoyable.
