Re: NBA 2K19 Roster Update Details (2-1)

Last night's matchup:

Nikola Jokic: 27 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 turnovers (11-22 FG)
Joel Embiid: 15 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 turnovers (4-17 FG)

LOL

tsk, tsk...Did you just trot out empty numbers in a LOSS where Jokic barely cracked even in plus/minus? While Embiid was +13?....Defense matters--even moreso in the playoffs when you dont get to match up with patsies. Guys who can dribble/shoot/pass will always have tremendous value but discounting defense? Ummm....

The guy with holes in his game will never, ever be the equal of the legitimate two-way superstar. You literally just compared prime CP3 to prime Rondo.

Embiid was sick and had a bad night shooting and STILL provided elite level defense (4 blocks) and rim protection which easily cancelled out what was a good shooting night by Jokic--who was a sieve on defense (as usual) and the literal definition of empty stats.

Until such a time as defense isn't a priority at Center and the key tenet in actual winning basketball acting like this is a debate is comical. I like Jokic--I dont want to seem like i'm hating on him, but comparing him to a superstar (Embiid has more 30-10 games this season that Jokic has in his entire career ) who's solid in every aspect of the game AND excels where he's weak? Come Now....thats just silly.

Re: NBA 2K19 Roster Update Details (2-1)

The empty stats hyperbole might make sense if you were talking about Timberwolves Kevin Love. The Nuggets are 2nd in the west despite a slew of injuries the entire year (for ex: they were missing two starters against a fully healthy Sixers squad. LOL oh wait Embiid had the sniffles).

Jokic had just clowned the Sixers for 32-18-10 w/ Embiid out of the lineup in a blowout win so I'm sure you understand.

Jokic trounces Embiid in RPM so I'm not sure why you'd bother bringing up +/-

8.12 James Harden
8.06 Paul George
6.78 Anthony Davis
6.57 Nikola Jokic
5.75 Giannis Antetokounmpo

5.54 Stephen Curry
5.40 Kyrie Irving
5.29 Kevin Durant
5.10 Rudy Gobert
4.98 LeBron James
4.94 Kyle Lowry
4.71 Eric Bledsoe
4.68 Nikola Vucevic
4.55 Joel Embiid
4.16 Jusuf Nurkic

"Superstar" needs to step his game up because last I checked his supposed greatness on both ends hasn't vaunted his team ahead of an injury-riddled Pacers team in the standings.

FYI the Sixers are 13th defensively to the Nuggets 15th LOL man what an impact Embiid is having. Keep the bias at home.

Clowned? Oh you mean when they had 3 starters out on the road? I don’t think that word means what you think it means.

For a “stats” guy you’re not very good at this. The Sixers starting five grades out as the best in the league. I’m sure you can guess why as Embiid is the constant. The bench was really bad the last two years and it drags down their ratings.

Better RPM than Embiid doesn’t mean much when he loses the matchup AND the sixers have played one of the hardest schedules in the league. As usual, the playoffs will tell the tale.

Touche’. PRO TIP: You may want to step your game up along with Embiid. Bias? No sir....You’re confused. We certainly haven’t forgotten your proclaiming Jeremy Lin a superstar when he played for NY.

Not your finest moment to be sure.

Re: NBA 2K19 Roster Update Details (2-1)

Oh well. I've been wrong before, and I'll be wrong again. One of us can admit to it.

If the best you've got is something from 7 years ago I think I'll live. I don't need to smear other people/players to enhance my arguments; they stand well enough on their own.

Jokic is demonstrably elite and there is little to suggest Embiid's on-court production leads to more Ws. If Jokic were a bad defender (which he was in PRIOR seasons), they wouldn't be where they're at.

AGAIN: I’m not bashing Jokic, I started this by saying he’s a very good player. What I’m saying is you using words like bias is...........cute. oh.....and that your declaring someone elite doesn’t mean what it used to.

Welp. I think my work is done here so i’ll be off. You have fun doing your lil’ roster or whatever....
