I think what ultimately suppresses his OVR are his shooting splits.

George is by far the worst finisher, but also the best 3pt shooter by a mile (200+ threes at the ASB!!!). He's a slightly above-average mid-range player but certainly not elite.

That 3pt shooting has more basketball value than the mid-range game (esp for a SF, really it's only PGs who are taking the shot nowadays), but 2K probably weighs them equally.

i'm currently looking at the open 3pt rating vs the actual nba stats for 3pt% (as of 18 Jan 2019).

would u adjust downwards for Steph or upwards for Marcus, Joe, Davis and Seth?

If I play at HOF, I am very inclined to adjust it downwards for Steph and Klay bcos anything in the 90s range is almost a guarantee make at HOF and SS. If I were to use the Spurs (offline myleague), I'll probably want Bertans to be on par with Joe Harris at 92 or Steph at 99.

I've seen some impressive players improved on their shooting range eg. Terrance Ferguson who has a pathetic 70 open 3pt rating and yet having a solid 0.371 (3pt%) this season. Other players having the same 3pt% like him includes Rodney Hood (82), and Justin Jackson (80). He's definitely a better shooter than Justin Jackson imo and I'll probably bump his open 3pt rating to 82.

Jokic averaged 23/12/9 (1.7 TPG) in the Spurs series.

Embiid averaged 25-14-4 against a center-less Nets team
Vs the Raptors he's putting up 17-8-4 (38% shooting, 3.8 TPG)

It was written in this thread "The guy with holes in his game will never, ever be the equal of the legitimate two-way superstar."

A legit two-way superstar wouldn't be getting hosed (not held in check: HOSED) by a 34-year old who made DPOY 7 years ago.
