    Calling out all Post Scorers

What % are you greening Post Fades, Hook shots, and Hop steps?

I feel like it's impossible to get green releases, even with a high rating and open. And full white bars seem like they miss more often then not. What are some tips to shoot better and what's the best animations?

Also does anybody have a Sharpshooting Post Scorer? Thinking about making this build, but that's only if I can be consistent in the post.

50-55% is about the success percentage on average for me with a pure post scorer. Greens are probably about 10% of the time (rec only. Not counting park or career games).

Not sure what a sharp would give you to assist with post scoring. The closest thing to a post shooting badge are mid range deadeye and difficult shots, so a shot creator would be better in that regard.

Wait people actually pass you the ball in the post? I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've gotten the ball when posting up, and when it's happened I've had no room to do anything because idiot teammates run right into the lane.

I dont know the percentages, but i do bet that if you took 10 deep jumpshots and 10 close range hook shots you might shoot better on the 10 deep jumpshots. Which is why you dont see alot of people shooting in the post online in park pro am etc.

I’ve got a two way post scorer and a pure post. Between the two of them, my pure post makes more hooks/fades but it’s not THAT many more. The difference between the 86 and the 99 is like an extra 3-5% make success

Since they dramatically decreased the midrange it's been super tough for post scorers to get the space required to initate your moves.

I've honestly been standing out at the 3 point line, then driving in and putting up a floater to replace the lack of a midrange. That and I never have any space to work with on the low block because everyone and thier mother is cutting into the lane and bringing thier defender towards me.

i dont Play any myplayer Stuff but I have lamarcus Aldridge in our online League. In General, i only get about 1 or 2 Green Releases in a whole game with the whole Team. M. percentage heavily depends on my opponent. if my opponent is a Good post defender and/or has a Good post defender (See the difference?) then i can barely anything useful in the Post. if my opponent is neither, i can score at will and will Hit Post shots over 50%.

2K Lab tested post fades with their modded controller, and this year, you can't consistently make (much less green) all of your post fades, even if your timing is perfect and your post fade rating is 99.

Meanwhile, pure sharpshooters can make and green 100% of their threes with only an 86 three point rating.

2K19 just did a bad job of balancing the ease of making threes vs. the ease of making twos, as floaters and layups don't go in consistently either with maxed out badges/ratings, just like all of the post shots.

It's sad that threes and dunks have become the only shots worth taking in 2K19, because every other shot type is going to be a dice roll, even if your timing is perfect.

Unfortunately, as this shows, 2K has decided to market itself increasingly towards the casual NBA fan that wants lots of entertaining EPSN style highlight plays (i.e. Crazy threes and insane dunks/posters) than towards fans of the game of basketball itself. Now I'm not saying there isn't any room at all in 2K for that style of play, I'd just like it more if it was the alternative, and not the default.

I saw that chart. As a post scorer every year, I cried inside when I saw those percentages.

I feel equally confident at hitting a corner three with my slashing playmaker PG, as I do a lightly contested fade with my pure post scorer.

Combine that with the fact that by your very position and location in the low post, you generally are never going to get fully open on a post shot. Also the lack of any post shot badge, except for difficult shots, which was clearly just an afterthought thrown to the bigs, as the very drill for the badge was clearly never intended for us.

If you’re going the post scorer route, you gotta accept that you’re at a structural disadvantage out the gate. Athletic finishers and glass cleaners are better natural scorers in the paint

I can't recall ever hitting a green with my post scorer. With that being said, I rarely get many opportunities and IF I do get the ball in the post, 80% of the time a teammate decides he needs to come hold my hand lol

The struggle of playing the post online is real!

Don’t worry low post player, one of your guards is coming to set you a nice screen. Clearly you operate on the same rules as sharps, just much closer to the hoop...
