Force FAs to sign?

Noob here - apologies if this has already been covered earlier but I'm wondering if there's a way (including gamey solutions) to force FAs to sign with a given team in MyLeague. I've exploited a team with enough cap space to sign and trade most all FAs to the teams they've joined this summer, but Jimmy Butler and D'Angelo Russel are both asking too much money for the gamey sign-'n-trade fix, beyond the available cap space of any team.

Any suggestions?

I reduce the attributes (and the player's overall grade) and then restore them after they sign. Go to edit roster , select quick edit, then go to Free Agents, find the player, select the whole line of attributes and drop it as needed (usually -4 or -6). I write down the change and adjust it back the same way later.

In the Contract sliders, put the min and max overall thing to 100, then play with the other sliders until the expected and actual value go down

Try changing their positions and see if that lower there demands enough. If not, do what NYJaguar said. Although, I would start by lowering the Intangibles rating since it's just a ratings modifier anyway.
