Agree but it surprises me that they won't throw in one of those Lakers teams (pretty much anything from 08-12). Seems like it would be pretty easy to get one of those squads considering the classic teams already available that are missing some key players.

Was really hoping for the 2010 lakers, but glad they are still trying to work on it. And if they cant get them in, just add another classic laker team with #24 Kobe plz. That said, still happy as hell they added the other two teams('14 spurs/lob city clippers) I was hoping for. '16 Cavs and '10 Blazers are also great.

Usually 2K relents from including teams for the first time if they're missing multiple significant pieces of their core.

For instance, at the time of their initial inclusion in 2016, the 2004 Pistons had four out of five starters available and six out of their first eight from their typical Finals rotation (seven out of eight including Corliss Williamson, who I can't remember whether he was in during 2K16 but is now). As the years passed, Tayshaun Prince was lost due to retirement and suddenly the Pistons had multiple big holes to fill (Sheed and Tay). I imagine they may have not been added in the first place if Prince was already gone in '16 but since they were already there, they stayed (and I'm hoping they remain in 2K20).

I'm guessing it's got to be a couple of prominent hold-outs putting the brakes on those Lakers teams. Some folks mentioned Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum. Tough to say for certain, but I can only imagine the backlash if 2K tried to introduce a 2010 Lakers team without those guys.
